We woke up early, enjoyed a nice breakfast than made our way into Milan. We first got a chance to tour the San Siro Stadium that is host to both the AC Milan and Inter Milan soccer teams. We were given a tour by a boy named Alex, who’s a student at a school in the states. We also got a chance to tour the Museum in front of the stadium since we all are soccer players and find that interesting. Later we road the bus back into Milan’s main square and were given about two or three hours to simply look around, do some shopping and do what we wanted. Milan was probably one of the prettiest cities, but there were a lot of people around and after being so exhausted we didn’t see every little bit that we wanted. I still enjoyed the city and wouldn’t mind going back at some point as well.
Day 8 – June 11th, 2013
Our last day of touring and adventure was spent in Bellagio (a small town right outside of Como) and Como once again. We road the bus into the small town of Bellagio where we spent about 2 or 3 hours, getting lunch and walking around the beautiful town and it’s little shops. When we were finished we all, including our bus got on a and went across Lake Como. We than got back onto our bus and road another 30-45 minutes into the center of Como. During this time I decided to go to the top of a mountain with some of my teammates and get a view of the entire city. We took a cable car that took about 10 minutes to get to the top and one there we simply walked around in order to see different parts. We than grabbed lunch and reunited with everyone else to head back and enjoy our last dinner in Italy before our flight the next morning.
That caps up my 2013 trip to France, Monaco, and Italy. Soon I will update on my trip to Bosnia to visit my family!
